On the evening of May 3, 2024, the Baltimore Area Sports Health Initiative hosted a private reception to bestow it's most coveted honors: The Baltimore Four Award. This prestigious accolade, presented annually, recognizes the exemplary dedication and contributions of four individuals to the Baltimore sports community. This years recipients are Ian Thomas, Derrell Edwards, Brandon Copeland, and Rudy Gay.

Each of these athletes inspires hope, creates opportunities, and is a passionate advocate for our community."
At the reception, the award winners were joined by their families, friends, and esteemed community leaders to pay tribute to the recipients. City Council President Nick Mosby honored the athletes and presented each recipient with a citation. City Council President Mosby was instrumental in bringing middle school athletics to Baltimore City schools. The State Comptroller's Office was in attendance, offering a citation to BASH in recognition of their impactful work.
As the evening continued, all the honorees, along with their families and friends, headed over to the third annual BASH Ball. It was a night filled with laughter, dancing, and celebration, as everyone came together to support the Baltimore 4 Award.
