Baltimore Area Sports Health Initiative Boosts City Schools Athletics with Generous Donation

In a continued effort to support sports programs within Baltimore City Schools, the Baltimore

Area Sports Health Initiative (BASH) stepped up once again with a donation of sports medicine supplies. On June 14, 2023, Executive Director Collin Francis spearheaded the donation, providing essential items such as tape, braces, rehab equipment, and emergency gear.

The significance of this contribution cannot be overstated, as these supplies are crucial for

ensuring the safety and well-being of student athletes. With access to proper sports medicine resources, schools can effectively address injuries, implement preventive measures, and foster a culture of health and fitness among students.

"We are thrilled to be able to support the city's sports programs through this donation," remarked Collin Francis. "Our aim is to provide the necessary tools and resources to help these programs thrive and ensure the safety of young athletes."

The impact of BASH's donation extends beyond immediate aid. These supplies will play a vital role in getting the sports medicine program within the city up and running, laying the foundation for long-term success and sustainability.

The organization is also a key partner with Baltimore City Schools on the Korey Stringer

Institute Innovate Grant. Through collaborative efforts like these, BASH continues to make a

tangible difference in the lives of student athletes and the broader community. As sports

programs flourish and safety standards are upheld, Baltimore City Schools can look forward to a future where every student has the opportunity to participate in athletics with confidence and support.
